I got into a university and received my Email address, however i don't have any ID card issued yet. Can i get the subscription?

If you have received your official university email address, in most cases that is enough to apply for a student subscription. Many platforms verify eligibility through the institutional email domain.

However, some services may additionally request proof of enrollment (such as a student ID card or admission letter). Since you don’t have your ID card yet, you can try signing up with your university email first. If further verification is required, you may need to upload your admission/offer letter.

Yes, you can absolutely apply without an ID card. GitHub Education accepts multiple forms of verification:

What you can use instead of a student ID:

• University email address (.edu or your institution's domain) — this is often sufficient on its own
• Admission/offer letter — upload it as proof of enrollment
• Enrollment letter from your university's registrar office
• Tuition receipt or fee payment confirmation
• Class schedule / transcript showing the current semester

How to apply:

1. Go to https://education.github.com/discount_requests/application
2. Select Student
3. Use your university email as your school email
4. When asked for proof, upload your admission letter or any enrollment document

Tips for faster approval:

• Make sure the document clearly shows your name, institution name, and enrollment dates
• If it's not in English, it still works — GitHub reviews documents in all languages
• Add your university email to your GitHub account beforehand (Settings → Emails)
• A photo of a physical document works fine — just make sure it's legible

Many students get approved with just the university email + admission letter, so you shouldn't need to wait for your ID card.
