Copilot Pro+ subscription restored after failed payment, but entitlement still missing #189097

Hi, Yes, this can happen sometimes after a failed Copilot payment. Even if you complete the payment later, the Copilot entitlement flag on GitHub’s servers doesn’t always refresh automatically, which means your account may still appear as if the subscription is inactive. Since you already: Signed out and back in Reinstalled the Copilot extensions Tried multiple IDEs the issue is very likely server-side, exactly like the automated support message suggested. Unfortunately, users can’t reset that entitlement themselves. What usually fixes it is GitHub Support manually refreshing or restoring the Copilot license on your account. If you already opened a ticket, the best option is to wait for support to respond. If it has been several days, you could also reply to the existing ticket asking for an update, which sometimes bumps it in the queue. In the meantime, you can double-check Settings → Billing → Copilot to confirm the payment shows as successful, but the actual restoration will most likely require GitHub support to re-enable the entitlement on their side. |

I've already submitted a support ticket, and it has now been 2–3 business days. I will continue to wait. Thank you very much for your reply and advice. |

Copilot in GitHub
Body
I had a failed payment for my GitHub Copilot Pro+ subscription a few days ago, which led to my access being removed. I manually completed the payment on the same day, but it's been 4 days now and my Copilot entitlement hasn't been automatically restored.
Here's what I've already tried:
1.Signed out and back into GitHub
2.Reinstalled Copilot extensions in IDEs (VS Code and Visual Studio)
3.Switched between different IDEs
Then, the automated support bot told me:
“This is a GitHub Support-only issue. Copilot Chat availability is controlled by a server-side entitlement flag that users cannot reset themselves.”
So it seems this needs to be fixed on GitHub's side, and users can't resolve it themselves.
Has anyone experienced this before?
