...and before I tried that:
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/ruby/3.4.5/lib/ruby/gems/3.4.0/gems/typeprof-0.30.1/lib/typeprof/lsp/messages.rb:58:in 'TypeProf::LSP::Message::Initialize#run': undefined method 'map' for nil (NoMethodError)

Something fishy is going on, probably unrelated to the homebrew's ruby installation hurdles.

typeprof --init command is not included in the latest released version, v0.30.1.
typeprof --init was introduced after v0.30.1.

Could you please share your typeprof.conf.json?
Also, running "TypeProf: Restart" in VSCode might solve the error.

@smasato umm... I don't have typeprof.conf.json -- I didn't have any, and it used to work somehow, before my upgrades...

TypeProf v0.31.0 was released yesterday.
If you upgrade, you be able to use the --init option.
